At the presentation of the campaign, officials emphasised that the necessary support structures for mental health issues have already been put in place for a considerable amount of time. Nevertheless, there seems to be a lack of awareness, despite the fact that the issue of mental health is becoming increasingly important in modern societies.
Out of all consultations that the psychosocial services offered last year, only 10% were used my municipal employees. Officials thus fear that too many individuals are still reluctant to seek out help, or that the service is not known enough.
To further the cause, municipal employees can also take part in a so-called "first aid for mental health" programme. Officials at the presentation therefore underlined the importance of destigmatising the problem.
