Luxembourg is expected to trigger its next wage indexation by the end of June at the latest, according to new estimates published by the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC) on Tuesday. The national index currently stands at 1034.35 points, with the next wage indexation triggered when it reaches 1038.79.

Once triggered, salaries and pensions will increase by 2.5%.

STATEC said the projection comes amid modest economic growth, with Luxembourg’s economy expanding by 0.6% in 2025. While this marks an improvement compared to the previous three years, STATEC warns that it remains well below the stronger growth seen in the late 2010s.

The statistics agency also warned that the outlook for 2026 remains uncertain, citing a challenging international environment and concerns over a potential resurgence in inflation.

Despite these headwinds, STATEC noted signs of slight momentum in the domestic labour market.
