The maternity clinic in Ettelbruck has been closed for three weeks due to a lack of paediatricians. Due to illness, two of the clinic’s four paediatricians became unavailable on short notice.
While a concept for reopening the service “as soon as possible” has been developed, the clinic is not yet ready to reopen. For the time being, Lenert stated there is no set date, but that it will happen “in the next few weeks.”
Several task forces are at work and because the solution must be effective, Lenert thinks that it “will still take some time”. This was the Minister’s response to a query from MP André Bauler from the Democratic Party (DP).
