The not for profit association (ASBL) has existed since 2001, having a convention agreed with the Sites and Monuments authority. Together, both organisation own and look after a collection of older locomotives.

The passion of the association is the technology of these older trains. The dozen volunteers are enthusiasts of technology and machinery and especially enjoy maintaining the historical aspects of the trains that were operated in decades past.

Some of the volunteers are quite young as well, with the youngest being 16 years old. These younger members of the association praised the association as the best place to experience older technology so closely.

Currently based in a hall in Petange, the association's home is getting a bit crowded with trains. The members of the association have also deplored that they are unable to open the hall to the public as a type of museum. As a result, they have their eyes on the Esch-sur-Alzette/Schifflange wasteland as a potential new site.

The association hopes it will come to an agreement with Agora, the organisation that owns the wasteland, in order to be able to move to a new hall. In addition to making the trains available to the public, the association would also enjoy keeping its archives in one place.
