Bad news for motorists in Luxembourg: petrol and diesel prices are set to increase from Thursday, according to new maximum prices published by the Ministry of the Economy.

Last week saw a sharp drop in fuel prices, with diesel falling by nearly 10 cents, and SP95 and SP98 by almost 5 cents. However, motorists will now face a second increase, following a rise in SP98 on Wednesday of 3.6 cents, bringing it to €1.92 per litre.

From Thursday, the price of SP95 will also climb by 3.5 cents, reaching €1.824 per litre.

Diesel will see a similar increase of 3.8 cents, setting the new price at the pump at €1.875 per litre.

The increase also affects heating fuel, which is rising by 3.5 cents to €1.314 per litre.
