Officers were alerted to a damaged vehicle on the A7 at around 1.50am on Sunday. When stopped, the driver was found to be heavily intoxicated, but refused to carry out a breathalyser test. As a result, he had his licence taken away.

Another motorist had their licence confiscated for the same reason after being caught driving under the influence on Rue Altrescht, Kayl.

At around 4.00am, a car crashed into a tree on the CR119 between Eisenborn and Stafelter, after the driver lost control of the vehicle round a bend. Fortunately the driver escaped with only minor injuries, but received a provisional driving ban after they were found to be over the legal alcohol limit.

Another provisional ban was issued to a driver in Val de Hamm for driving under the influence and running a red light, while another motorist received the same treatment after they were caught driving erratically through Esch-sur-Alzette by police.
