Prior to the coronavirus outbreak, the cleaning sector had raised complaints over the deteriorating working conditions. The situation has been aggravated by the health crisis, according to the OGBL, who requested a meeting with Dan Kersch on Wednesday.
In a press release, the union said it was aware of the fact that cleaning staff were facing huge difficulties due to the crisis and confirmed they had requested the emergency meeting as a result.
The OGBL also said it intends to take the opportunity to discuss other issues, such as those of vulnerable people and the preventive measures to be taken with a view to gradually resuming activity in other sectors.
