Shortly before midnight, an accident took place on the A13 motorway in the direction of Hellange. Near the Dudelange exit, a speeding driver lost control over his car, which eventually collided with the crash barrier on the left hand side. The man was able to exit the car after the collision and get to safety behind the barrier on the right side of the motorway.
According to reports, several drivers stopped on the safety lane to help out the man. Unfortunately, the placement of their cars led to another accident, as an oncoming driver was unable to guide his vehicle through the opening between helpers on the right and the crashed car on the left. Fortunately, the man crashed into the empty vehicle.
Only one person had to be brought to a hospital for treatment after the accidents.
Elsewhere, the police revoked two licenses for driving under the influence. One of them was involved in the aforementioned motorway accident, while the other was caught near Ehlerange earlier on Saturday evening.
