Six people chargedOrganised crime network accused of stealing cars and valuables

Nine luxury cars were seized in total, six of which were confirmed to be stolen. The organised gang of thieves targeted shops and cars for months, across Europe and in Luxembourg.

French authorities arrested six individuals in the Metz area on 13 September. The detainees are suspected of having broken into shops and stolen luxury cars in the Moselle and Meurthe-et-Moselle departments and in Luxembourg.

As announced by the Nancy public prosecutor's office on Friday morning, the six individuals have now officially been charged with those crimes. Initial information of the investigation reveals that they belong to an organised crime network know for break-ins from Luxembourg through to the Pyrenees.

A total of nine luxury cars were seized, six of which had been reported as stolen. The investigators also confiscated registration plates and around €11,000 in cash.
