Renewable energiesPirate Party suggests covering car parks with photovoltaic systems

RTL Today
In a statement published on Thursday, the Pirate Party criticises the fact that solar energy is not used more in Luxembourg to produce green electricity.

The Pirate Party believes that the government will fail to meet its renewable energy targets. Therefore, the opposition party demands that, wherever possible, car parks should be covered with photovoltaic installations and that as many private homes and public buildings as possible should be equipped with solar collectors.

The Pirate Party also blames Minister of Education Claude Meisch for the current labour shortage in this sector, as the craft industry has been “neglected for far too long in Luxembourg”.
