Police carried out a large-scale alcohol check on Rue Alferweiher, Echternach, overnight between 1.30am and 4am on Saturday morning.
Acting on behalf of the public prosecutor’s office, officers randomly tested 303 motorists for alcohol, even though there was no specific suspicion against individual drivers.
Nine drivers recorded positive results during the checks. Four of them received official reports, and one driver's licence was immediately confiscated on the spot.
In addition to the alcohol offences, police also registered six further violations of the Highway Code, though no details were provided regarding the specific nature of these breaches.
