Police and customs officials inspected around 50 people on Thursday as part of the operation.
11 were found in possession of small quantities of drugs and were written up as a result. One person was fined for refusing to wear a mask, in breach of current Covid regulations.
Another person was found in violation of immigration law.
Similar operations were carried out in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands, under the umbrella of "Operation Hazeldonk". The aim of these collaborations is to fight against small-scale trafficking (drug tourism) and to dismantle the points of sale in the Netherlands. The international cross-border operations cover road, rail and air traffic.
