A total of 209 drivers were stopped and had to take an alcohol test. Thirteen of them were above the permitted limit, out of which four had their license revoked at the scene.

Elsewhere, the police were also successful in stopping a number of drink drivers. In Frisange, a man crashed his car into several road signs near a crossroads, before trying to flee the scene.

Officers were quickly able to identify and stop the car due to visible damages, as well as a flat tyre. The man was fined for drink driving and had his license revoked.

In the area of Mersch, the police were alerted to a man causing a stir near a café, as he was reportedly throwing road signs around. Once officers arrived, the man tried to escape by car. In the end, the effort was futile and the police imposed a fine and revoked his license.
