At around 6pm two cars were involved in a collision in Dudelange, which resulted in material damage. One of the drivers refused to stop and fled the scene.
Police caught up with the motorist close to the French border, where he continued to resist arrest and instead rammed his vehicle into and subsequently injuring a police officer. The man was eventually arrested and was found to be over the legal alcohol limit.
The public prosecutor’s office ordered the man’s arrest and confiscated his vehicle. He was brought before magistrates on Friday afternoon.
