On 18 April, a man and a woman withdrew cash from a cash machine in Colmar-Berg. The card was also used not longer after in the designer outlet in Messancy in Belgium.
The police have appealed for further information on the suspects using the stolen credit card. Anybody who can identify them or locate them should contact the Ettelbruck police station at 244 84 1000.

The police have also issued a warning against scammers, who claim to have inherited funds and want to donate their money. However, in order to donate, they purport to need the help from their mark. They promise that they will compensate the victim €10,000 for their help, but ask that victims to withdraw a large amount of cash and put it in a bag.
The thieves then swap it out with an empty one, which they give to the victim and ask them to look after while they go into a nearby church. But of course, the scammer then flees the scene and leaves the victim with an empty bag and out of a significant amount of money.
