According to the police report, a vehicle parked in the driveway of a house was engulfed in flames and there was a real risk that the fire could spread to the house. Unable to extinguish the fire, officers evacuated the residents, who were not injured in the incident. However, one person was left feeling faint after the intervention.
The Useldange, Vichten, and Ettelbruck fire brigades were finally able to extinguish the fire, which had ended up spreading to the house. An ambulance was also on site. The police state that arson could not be ruled out. The public prosecutor's office in Diekirch has asked for an investigation to be opened.
