After major firePotaschberg petrol station to remain closed until further notice
Shortly before 5pm on Wednesday, a major fire occurred at the Potaschberg petrol station after a lorry erupted into flames due to unknown reasons.
According to reports, the lorry caught fire while the driver was filling up the tank.
The area between the petrol station and the roundabout had to be closed off to allow firefighters to get the situation under control. The flames were extinguished by 6pm.
The station suffered significant material damage and will remain shut until further notice. However, nobody was injured in the fire.
