Amiperas, the association for retried people and the elderly, is facing some changes in leadership.
After little over 8 months at the helm of the association, president Jean Morby threw in the towel according to RTL information. Vice president Claude Caudron and treasurer Ray Remackel are apparently set to leave along with Morby.
In June 2018, Jean Morby took on the position as Amiperas president after the death of Jeannot Belling, who had held the presidency for a several years. The reason behind Morby's decision to step down is not yet known.
Internal problems have been plaguing the Amiperas association for several years now.
A number of departments fell by the wayside in early 2016, some because of quarrelling personnel, others because of a lack of volunteers.
Former Amiperas president Jeannot Belling pointed out at the time that the Ampieras was subject to internal disagreements just as much as the next association, but made sure to remind people of the ultimate goal of the association: To make life easier for the elderly.
The association currently has about 8,000 members.
