Doctors on adult psychiatry wards are conducting triages to decide which patients will be admitted because there are not sufficient beds. Patients were being discharged on a daily basis to make way for new admissions, said Dr. Hédo.

Although the situation has not yet resulted in any catastrophes, a number of patients with addictions are being hospitalised later than they normally would, said the president.
