Germany's borders will remain closed until 4 May. Cross-border workers already had to request certificates in order to be allowed to move freely between Luxembourg and Germany. The same now holds true for pupils.

German police have announced that Luxembourgish pupils who are enrolled at a German school will have to request a similar certificate from their respective schools. Pupils will need to carry and present the certificate ("Schüler-Pendlerbescheinigung") to pass the border checkpoints.
