Right after the call came in, teams of police officers, local firefighters, and members of the Red Cross were sent out to help recover the man. They received support from sniffer dogs, as well as from a police helicopter.
The latter was quickly able to make out the missing man, who did not manage to find his way out of the dark woods. Forces on the ground helped navigate the man out and gave him a medical check-up. He was allowed to return home soon after, as he was deemed to be fine.
