The petitions have been published on the Chamber of Deputies website and are open for signatures.

As always, each petition requires at least 4,500 signatures before it can be debated publicly within the Chamber.

One petition demands the closure of schools until September in order to protect the youngest citizens. Another asks for key workers to be granted a bonus for contributing to the collective good, incorporating staff in hospitals, supermarkets, police, fire fighters, as well as bus drivers, taxi drivers and delivery drivers.

Partial unemployment is also requested for the self-employed, as is the right to work from home which should be introduced.

Another requests support for temporary workers during the crisis, while one petition goes so far as to demand the outright halt to 5G in Luxembourg.

The below petitions can be signed up until 4 June:

Petition n°1560 : Definitively put a stop to the rolling out of 5G in Luxembourg.

Petition n°1559
 :  Allow motorcyclists to ride their vehicles without essential reasons during the health crisis. Petition n°1556 : Establish the right to work from home.

Petition n°1552 : Pay a single bonus to all workers and public officials who have continued their essential work during the Covid-19 crisis.

Petition n°1553
 : Allow self-employed individuals to claim partial unemployment (such as language teachers or tutors)

Petition n°1550
 : Keep schools and crèches shut until September to protect children and pupils.

Petition n°1524
 : Financial aid for certain temporary workers in the Grand Duchy during the health crisis.
