Students at St George's have been celebrating a strong set of exam results for IGCSE, AS and A levels. All graduating students have been offered places at their first-choice universities.

Graduating students at A level achieved a 100% pass rate, with nearly two-thirds of exams graded A* or A. Now they’re heading off to a range of destinations across the UK, EU and US. These include prestigious Russell Group universities such as Imperial College London and the University of Warwick, as well as other top institutions such as the University of St Andrew’s and Trinity College Dublin.

Students at other levels also had a lot to celebrate. At the intermediate AS level, 71% of entries were graded an A or B. Meanwhile, nearly half of IGCSE exam scripts, which are typically taken at age 16, were graded A** or A*, with 96% achieving at least a C.

In a press release, the school described the results as ‘excellent’.

St George’s Principal Dr Christian Barkei said ‘We are delighted by the outcome of the examinations for our students at IGCSE, A/S and A-level. This is a clear reflection of their own hard work and application to their studies, alongside the consistent support from their families and the school community and teaching staff.’

A level results

· 63% of examinations were graded A* or A

· 95% of examinations were graded A* to C

Students achieved a 100% pass rate. 40 of 128 entries achieved the highest grade possible, an A*. 63% of entries were graded A* or A and 95% of students achieved a grade C or above.

AS level results

· 71% of examinations were graded A/B(*)

· 83% of examinations were graded A to C

Seventy-one per cent of entries were graded A or B, and 83% of examination papers achieved a grade C or above. 77 of the 146 students taking A/S Levels received the highest grade possible at this level, an A.

IGCSE results

· 49% of examinations were graded 9-8 A**/A*

· 67% of results were graded 9-7 A**/A

· 96% of examinations were graded A** to C

A total of 405 IGCSE entries were submitted in 20 subjects. 96% of students achieved grades A** to C, while 67% of all entries were graded A or above. 95% of students achieved at least 5 grades from A** to C. These students will now progress to Year 12 where they will study their chosen AS level subjects.
