In addition to being overpriced, the association claims they have received multiple reports of poor hygiene within the services, while vehicle standards are said to fall below price expectations.

In the press release, the association said the service was far from qualitative, and was in need of stricter quality standards for the equipment of the car, as well as for the training of the driver. According to the ASBL, these taxis-ambulances should also be more controlled, with the option for a centralised customer service system for complaints.

As for prices, the association called for a transparent pricing policy. Tariffs should be fixed once and for all through an agreement with the National Health Fund (CNS), said the patients association.
