CSVThere is no need for stricter measures at the moment, argues Martine Hansen

RTL Today
The co-fraction president of the Christian Social People's Party spoke about Covid measures Thursday morning on RTL Radio.

Hansen noted that while the situation in hospitals remains relaxed and the distribution of vaccines continues, everybody is responsible for their own health. She thus argued that the easing of restrictions is not exactly premature.

However, it is still important to conduct the respective analyses when it comes to the efficacy of the vaccine, or the appearance of infection clusters after National Day, Hansen noted. Furthermore, the Covid Check mechanism needs to be reviewed to erase potential deficiencies.

Hansen also believes that a sanitary concept for events of up to 300 people should be possible. Naturally, there is always a risk, the politician acknowledged: "It is therefore important that people, especially the younger demographics, get vaccinated."

Although there is no need for new restrictions at the moment, Hansen argued that preventive measures should be revised and improved to better deal with potential new infection waves in the future.
