
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) responded to eight separate incidents on Wednesday, resulting in a total of three people injured.
Shortly after 11am, firefighters were called to a fire on Rue Wurth-Paquet in Esch-sur-Alzette. Local crews attended the scene.
At around 11.30am, an automatic emergency call was triggered by a vehicle on the N2 between Remich and Bous. However, firefighters and paramedics from Remich who arrived at the location found the alert to be a false alarm.
At 1.10pm, a bin caught fire on Rue Maria Mitchell in Esch-sur-Alzette. Local firefighters extinguished the blaze.
Shortly after 3pm, a motorcyclist was injured in a crash in Erpeldange. Paramedics from Larochette and firefighters from Ingeldorf were despatched to the scene.
At 4.10pm, another motorcycle accident occurred on Boulevard de Gasperich in Ban de Gasperich. Rescue teams from Luxembourg City provided medical attention to the injured rider.
Around the same time, another automatic emergency call – this time on Rue Guillaume Knoll in Cloche d'Or – turned out to be a false alarm.
At approximately 4.20pm, a gas cylinder caught fire on Rue des Alliés in Koetschette, leaving one person injured. Paramedics from Nordstad and Redange, along with firefighters from Rambrouch, Grevels and Redange, were despatched.
A collision between two cars occurred on Route de Luxembourg in Esch-sur-Alzette at around 4.40pm. Local rescue teams intervened, but no injuries were reported.
