None of the three men had any valid documentation on them and police officers soon developed the suspicion that they might have been staying in Luxembourg illegally. The judicial police were informed of the situation.
After consulting with the foreign ministry, one of the three men was placed in a holding centre. An investigation into the other two men is currently underway.
The injured man was brought to hospital for treatment.
