Emergency services report that three people were injured in the crash between Heffingen and Reuland. The driver lost control of the vehicle at around 2.15 pm, skidding into the opposite lane and on the path adjacent to the road. The car crashed into a tree, the impact of which overturned the car.
The vehicle finally stopped 30 metres away from the tree, upside down. The driver and front passenger were injured, but conscious. The backseat passenger was trapped in the car, unconscious and seriously injured. All three were taken to hospital.
Firefighters, the police, and two rescue helicopters were at the scene.
By 3.30 pm, the road was cleared and open to traffic again.
