According to the Ministry of Health and Social Security, the manufacturer Qualiphar is recalling batch number 61075 of the cough syrup “Toularynx Dextromethorphan 1.5 mg/ml” as a precaution due to the risk of glass particles. In one bottle from this batch, a piece of glass was found.

Even though no glass particles were detected in any of the samples tested and no further reports have been received, it cannot be completely ruled out that additional bottles containing glass particles are still in circulation. Since consuming it could be dangerous, the batch is being recalled.

People who have this syrup at home are asked to check the batch number on the packaging. If it is number 61075, the product must no longer be consumed and the bottle should be returned to a pharmacy, where it will be disposed of.
