Confirmed locationsTraffic light cameras also to be placed on Rue de Hollerich and Rue de Schlammestee

RTL Today
On Wednesday, we confirmed that the country's first traffic enforcement camera focusing on running red lights will be installed at the busy junction of Place de l'Etoile.

At least three locations will have these new red light radars installed. Radio 100,7 received confirmation from the Ministry for Mobility that two other locations earmarked for the radars are Rue de Hollerich and Rue de Schlammestee.

The radar will likely be fitted by the church on Rue de Hollerich and by the junction with the N3 on Rue de Schlammestee.

All three red light cameras will firstly be pilot projects, as partly outlined in the road safety action plan presented earlier this year.

The ministry believes that ignoring red lights is an extremely dangerous phenomenon and has committed to better traffic safety with the new cameras.
