The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) reported multiple incidents on Friday evening that resulted in the hospitalisation of 12 individuals.

Emergency services were first called at around 7.05pm to a two-vehicle collision on the Arlon road in Niederfeulen that left one person injured. A similar incident followed shortly afterwards at around 7.45pm on Rue Marie-Adélaïde in Hollerich.

At around 7.20pm, two people were injured when three vehicles collided on the A6 motorway between Bridel and Capellen, heading towards Arlon. Firefighters from Luxembourg City and Mamer were called to the scene.

At around 8.30pm, crews from the Sanem and Differdange fire stations pulled a driver to safety on the A13 motorway after his car struck the crash barrier between Gadderscheier and Sanem while travelling towards Pétange.

Three further vehicles came off the road in separate incidents later that evening, on the N12 between Wilwerdange and Wemperhardt, on Rue du Château in Leudelange, and on Rue des Trois Cantons in Garnich, with one person evacuated to hospital in each case.

There was a further callout at 8.13pm, when a car hit a pole on the N7 in Hosingen, leaving one person requiring treatment from the local fire department.

Just before 5pm, firefighters from the Beckerich and Mamer fire and rescue centres were dispatched to a house fire on Kierchewee in Oberpallen, where three occupants were evacuated after suffering mild smoke inhalation.
