The driver hit a tree with his car. One person was injured and emergency services attended.
Another driver also collided with a tree at around 8.30pm on the CR162 between Alzingen and Hassel, also resulting in one injured person.
Both drivers tested positive for alcohol and lost their driving licenses.
A further 3 cases of drunk driving were reported on Limpertsberg and in Luxembourg City proper.
