The latest reports from the Grand Ducal Police show that officers had a busy weekend, detaining two drunk agitators in the capital, as well as a mugger in Dudelange, and a burglar in Ingeldorf.

On Friday night, police were called to a bar on Rue de Strasbourg in the capital after a man attacked an injured a customer. Officers took the drunk perpetrator to the station where he continued behaving aggressively. A doctor subsequently evaluated him, after which authorities decided to place him under arrest for representing a danger to himself and others. A complaint was filed.

On Saturday afternoon, another bar located on Rue de Hollerich alerted police to an aggressor who was screaming at their staff members. Officers at the scene unsuccessfully tried calming the intoxicated individual down. After a medical evaluation, authorities again decided to place the man under arrest.

At 4.20pm on Saturday, a brutal mugging took place on Rue du Centenaire in Dudelange. After the victim refused to let their purse go, the perpetrator hit them on the head and fled the scene with their belongings. Police were able to locate a presumed suspect soon after. An investigation has been launched.

In Ingeldorf, a burglary was reported on Rue de la Sûre around 9.30pm on Saturday. The perpetrator entered a single-family home through the backdoor, but fled again after being spotted by the residents. Police managed to locate the burglar soon after. An investigation into the incident is underway.
