In both incidents, it turned out that the drivers were significantly above the permitted alcohol level. The police thus handed out a driving ban in both cases, which occurred in Luxembourg City and Differdange respectively.
Around 3 a.m., the police were further alerted to a hit-and-run that took place in Pétange. A driver damaged several vehicles stationed at the side of the road and quickly fled the scene afterwards.
Officers were able to identify and stop the car soon after. Another driving ban was awarded.
