Two pedestrians were hit by cars in separate incidents over the last 24 hours.

A pedestrian was crossing the road on Rue de Soleuvre in Differdange on Wednesday at 4.30 pm when she was hit by a car. The pedestrian suffered light injuries.

Early on Thursday, another pedestrian was hit by a car on Route d'Esch in Belvaux. A female driver stopped ahead of the roundabout by the municipal offices to let a young woman cross the road. Another driver who was exiting the roundabout failed to notice the woman and hit her as she was crossing. The impact threw her across the ground.

The woman had to be taken to hospital by an ambulance and her current condition is as of yet unknown.

The police also reported the thefts of two Range Rovers, one of which was black and the other was bronze.
