Nicolas BuckUEL president says they do not want to interrupt social dialogue

RTL Today
The UEL (Union des entreprises luxembourgeoises) will participate in the next meeting of the standing committee for labour and employment, said president Nicolas Buck.

In an interview with the "Lëtzebuerger Wort", Buck claimed the UEL had never left the committee and that their delegation was ready for the next meeting's agenda.

On Tuesday evening, the three most representative unions at national level, OGBL, LCGB and CGFP, stridently criticised the employers' union in a communal demonstration.

However, Buck said the UEL did not wish to interrupt the ongoing social dialogue, and on the contrary were seeking to optimise it and prepare it for the 21st century. He declined to comment on the unions' statements.
