Today could see up to 24 litres of rain over 24 hours in parts of the country, with persistent rain hanging around from the morning into the afternoon, when stormy conditions are to be expected. Heavy rain is forecast for the afternoon, before returning to drizzle in the evening.
Morning temperatures of 16-18°C will rise to 19-21°C in the afternoon, before dropping back to 16-18°C in the evening.
