Thursday evening, a police patrol in Belvaux spotted a man using his phone while driving. After pulling him over, they found out that he was actually banned from driving until 2024. The prosecutor's office ordered his arrest. The suspect will have to face an examining magistrate this Friday.

Late afternoon, a woman was involved in a car accident in Hollerich. Despite considerable material damage, she immediately fled the scene. Police were able to locate her shortly later in Esch. When they approached her, they found her smoking cannabis. She also tested positive for alcohol. Police immediately suspended her license.

Around 10.55pm, a patrol found a heavily damaged car blocking both lanes of Esch's A4 motorway near Raemerich roundabout. The driver's breathalyzer test was positive but below 1.2 per mille, which is why he was allowed to keep his license.
