WeckerWorker severely injured after falling down staircase

RTL Today
Emergency services were called to Wecker on Tuesday afternoon following a work accident when a worker was demolishing a chimney.

Shortly after 4.30pm the individual fell down a staircase.

The man sustained serious injuries in the fall. He was taken care of on the spot by an emergency doctor, before being transported to hospital. The public prosecutor's office and the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines have been informed and an investigation has been opened.

Drunk driving

The police also report that a motorist was stopped on route d'Arlon in Mamer at around 11.30pm for not respecting the curfew. As it turned out, this was not the only offence committed by this driver, who was also intoxicated. The breathalyser revealed that the alcohol level was below 1.2 per mille, meaning that they narrowly avoided having their licence confiscated.
