The PM had the opportunity to discuss Chinese-Luxembourgish relations and underline the need for close cooperation between the two countries. As well as discussions with the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, Bettel also met with his counterparts from South Korea and Laos.

Bettel described the visit as "fruitful", referring to the number of accords that were signed during the conference. He also stressed the need to work together on a mutual basis, citing the current example of Cargolux being the sole operator of flights to Jeonju in Korea as a way in which they will focus on matters relating to Luxembourg's interests.

According to Bettel, his priority is to put aside notions of rivalry and focus on working together. He described Luxembourg as a country dedicated to multilateralism as a model of success, and the government would continue to act with this in mind.
