CA Fola Esch athletics club organised the fourth cross-country event of the season on Sunday. First winner Bob Bertemes and last week’s winner, Belgian Valère Hustin, did not participate, leaving Fola athletes Max Lallemang and Christophe Kass as clear favourites over 7.940 metres.
Lallemang and Kass went on to dominate the race, with Kass beating his teammate with a lead of 1 minute and 13 seconds. Celtic athlete Christian Molitor took third place.
CSL’s Margaux Bruls beat Fola’s Anny Wolter by a minute in the womens’ race, 2 minutes and 18 seconds ahead of third-placed Trilux athlete Runa Egilsdottir.
