At the beginning the American team looked confident with their goalkeeper and their defense, while the Luxembourgish team relied heavily on Tommy Wirtz who scored their first 7 goals. After a while the Luxembourgish team found their rhythm and so after 30 minutes the score read 17:12 for the red lions.

During the second half the Luxembourgish team kept changing and rotating their players. After 48 minutes Luxembourg was leading by 26:20. The American side caught a second wind but it wasn’t quite enough, and in the end Luxembourg won 32 to 25.

Tommy Wirtz was the most proficient player with 8 goals. Unfortunately Lé Biel injured his shoulder badly and had to be brought to the hospital.

On Saturday at 6.00pm Luxembourg will face the US again, this time in Bettembourg
