The 58-year-old played a veritable battle of the generations against 17-year-old Yubin Shin from South Korea.
Unfortunately, the duel ended 3:4 in favour of the South Korean athlete. Former world champion Ni Xia Lian was thus eliminated from the Games in the second round of the tournament.
