The former vice world champion was elected last Wednesday at a general assembly, along with ten other members for the karate committee.
Scholtes will succeed former president Jean-Claude Roob. Other posts have been assigned as part of her first meeting. Scholtes, who is affiliated with the Walferdange karate club, will be supported by Leo Salvatore of Niederanven as vice-president, while the new secretary is Jorge De Sousa of Karate-Club Reckange/Mess.
