
The senior men’s team won their first Bundesliga 2 game in a home match against Düsseldorf. The ‘Renerts’ were penalised at the 20th minute of the game, giving the opposing side the opportunity to pass the first 3 points of the match. The scoreboard remained stagnant until half-time, after which both teams took the lead at times, with the Luxembourgish side coming out as the winners with a final score of 16-13. The Walferdange Rugby Club is now 6th in the 2nd Bundesliga West and will have their next match in Cologne on Saturday.
After a difficult defeat the previous week, the Walfettes came out on top in their match against Hamme on Saturday. The Walfer side started by conceding two tries during the first 20 minutes of the game before waking up and successfully bringing the match to an even footing. At the end of the match, the female team emerged victorious with a score of 25-29.
The relaunched U14 had their first official game at the Belgium Development Championship, initially meant to be a three-team mini tournament. One team however declared forfeit and the Walferdange team (in entente with Ardenne Rugby) played very well, winning 65-0.
