Specifically, officers were looking out for lorry drivers who failed to respect the ban on overtaking, as well as those who did not observe safe distances from other vehicles.
62 fines were issued in total. 16 drivers were seen overtaking other vehicles, while 8 did not keep a safe distance. 17 drivers were not compliant with social legislation. In addition, police also issued warnings for speeding, exceeding the maximum weight and unsecured loads.
