
At 4.30pm on Sunday, police caught two individuals as they attempted to use stolen bank cards to withdraw money from a cash machine on Route de Wasserbillig, Mertert, on multiple occasions. Officers found the individuals in possession of no fewer than four stolen cards. They had already completed a number of purchases using the cards, it transpired.
A search of the suspects revealed they were carrying a number of other stolen items. Both were arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office.
Another person was taken into custody at around 8pm on Avenue de la Gare in Luxembourg City. Police picked up the individual for failing to comply with a bench warrant. They appeared before a magistrate on Monday.
