Martine Deprez, Minister of Social Security, wrote that the CNS receives around 420 calls a day, or 9,200 a month, from people with queries about their demands. This represents 17% of all the calls received by the National Health Fund.
Staff at the CNS always try to ensure they deal with queries as quickly as possible, Deprez continued, even though demands received by telephone do not have any legal or statutory deadlines.
Deprez also said the CNS is working on digitalising the exchange of documents with insured clients. A recent study demonstrated numerous methods of improving the process, although the minister did not go into detail.
