In January, 900 job seekers did not receive their benefits on the scheduled date due to a computer glitch at the National Employment Agency (ADEM). The issue occurred following the introduction of a new system designed to automatically process applications.

Problems were reported in the first weeks after the rollout, though the situation has since stabilised. At present, 246 applications submitted more than a month ago remain unprocessed, while in over 100 cases the agency is still awaiting documents from applicants.

Payment frequency has also been increased, and the system continues to be adjusted. Christian Social People’s Party (CSV) Labour Minister Marc Spautz provided the update in response to a parliamentary question from Green MP Djuna Bernard.
