Shortly after midnight on Sunday, police were informed that a man was lying on the tram tracks at Howald. He was unresponsive when a witness at the scene called out to him. A patrol arrived and lifted the man off the tracks, allowing the tram to resume its journey. As the man was heavily intoxicated, he was taken to hospital for a check-up.
Meanwhile, police were called to a fight involving several people in Diekirch during Saturday night. Two men suffered stab wounds and were taken to hospital. An investigation has been opened and a report drawn up.
